Our consultation on new constituencies is now closed: Read our blog on what comes next

This week, the Commission closed its final consultation on a proposed new map of constituencies across England, having received nearly 19,000 comments by the consultation deadline of 5 December.

The revised proposals were shaped by feedback previously sent in by the public, with changes made to nearly half of the Commission’s initial suggestions for new boundaries and constituency names. While the Commission cannot accept any more responses, the proposals are still available to view on bcereviews.org.uk.

To find out what happens now, read a blog from Secretary to the Commission, Tim Bowden on the next steps in the boundary review process.
