Supplementary written evidence to PCRC

Following our oral evidence in November to the Political and Constitutional Reform Committee of the House of Commons’ inquiry “What next on the redrawing of Parliamentary boundaries?”, we were asked to provide some additional material on the following topics:

  1. The number of constituencies that were more and less than both 5% and 10% different in size to the electoral quota;
  2. How the consultation process could/should be changed, particularly around the timing and usefulness of public hearings;
  3. The advantages of possibly going back to 10-yearly reviews, and what changes would need to be made to enable it.

You can find our written evidence on these issues – together with all other written and oral evidence submitted – at the Committee’s web page for this inquiry.
